We hope these instructions can help you and your child locate the book that meets his/her AR needs. Remember that our friendly staff can always help you!
There are several ways to locate a book that meets the AR requirements:
1. No idea where to begin or having trouble finding titles that seems interesting to your child? Go to the website: www.arbookfind.comUse this site to find out what books your child may enjoy, that are at their level and worth the right amount of points. If a book is on this site that means that your child can take a test on it at their school. If your child has found a book they want to read just check this website to see if a test is available. There are advanced search options so that you can find a book that interests your child as well as meets their point and level requirements.
2. If you know the book is AR and just need to know if our library has it, you can search our online catalog at www.tularepubliclibrary.orgThe holding will tell you whether or not an item is checked in, out or only available by requesting it from another location. A request for an item usually takes about 2 weeks and can be done by entering your library barcode and pin number, you will receive an e-mail or letter telling you when the item is ready to be picked up from the holds shelf.
A couple things to keep in mind:
The library does not have AR tests available on our computers.
Please ask us for help! The first time looking these up can be frustrating but we can provide you with the tools to make sure you and your child are able to get what they need.
